1989 - 1991 Studium an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Heidelberg, Kunstpädagogik.

1985 - 1994 Mitglied des " Mannheimer Mimentheater " und Teilnahme an internationalen Theaterfestivals u.a. in der Ukraine und in Japan.

2001 - 2005 Weiterbildung in Kunsttherapie und Humanistische Pädagogik in Siegen und in Friesenheim / Elsass.

Gudrun Benedikta ELIASDOTTIR

1963 in Island geboren.

1983 - 1987 Icelandic School of Art and Crafts. Anschliessend als Kunsterzieherin tätig.

1999 - 2000 Studienaufenthalt in Südfrankreich.

Winter 2005 - 2006 "Artist in Residence" in Vallauris (F). Im Sommer 2006 Umzug nach Luxemburg. Seither dort als freischaffende Malerin und Designerin tätig.

"I have been painting stones for some time now and playing with double meaning in my paintings and titles. Coming from Iceland where there are still stories about the "hidden people " living in the rocks, in my work I´m dealing with nature, the nature of man, man in nature and my nature. The paintings are under the strong spell of Icelandic nature. Extreme opposites like fire and ice, black deserts against the glacier, these strong contrasts affect me. The Icelandic highlands are unbelievable and it doesn´t matter how vivid my paintings are, they will never be more colourful than the real thing. The themes are all from my imagination, a collection of memory snap shots, blended with thoughts about the human race. Apart from the rocks, I´m trying to get a hold of painting water, still, running and frozen.

Most of the paintings are acrylics on canvas but I have also been working with pigment bought in the South of France a long time ago. Making " patine au vin " out of white wine, eggs, milk, sugar and pigments, a recipe from a French book I bought with the pigments. Using white wine to paint makes much more sense here near the Mosel than in Iceland"

Seit der frühen Jugend Beschäftigung mit Malerei. Im Kontakt mit der Weißenseifener Malerin Antonia Berning (1921 - 2009) fand sie zu einer freien Aquarellmalerei, die seither ihre bevorzugte Ausdrucksform ist.

1997 erhielt sie den Kaiser-Lothar-Preis der Stadt Prüm.

Chantal HARDY

1956 geboren.

Studium der Malerei und Grafik an der Lütticher Kunstakademie, wo sie seit 2000 auch als Dozentin in der druckgrafischen Abteilung lehrt.

"Sa formation initiale de graveur sur métal et de xylographe, elle l´a complétée en lithographe au contact d´ateliers extérieurs. Depuis, elle participe en compagnie de divers collègues à de nombreux échanges internationaux. Elle a aussi exposé en groupe ou à titre personnel en Belgique, en France, en Espagne, au Brésil, en Serbie, en Suisse, au Québec, en Allemagne et au Luxembourg. Son oeuvre peut se décliner en séries successives, mais Femme avant tout, elle n´en oublie jamais ses congénères. Femmes de toutes conditions, d´ici et d´ailleurs, d´année en année son oeuvre se complète d´un nouveau regard porté sur les soubresauts du monde ou de l´âme. D´un point de vue technique, du support de tradition elle est passée au papier de soie marouflé, avant de contraindre des imprimés d´usine à se soumettre à sa volonté d´artiste. Son évolution l´a poussée à présent à se confronter à la troisiéme dimension tout en conservant l´acquis de ses lignes épurées, son thème récurrent et les attributs de l´estampe."

Tom KREY

1947 geboren.

Ab 1968 Ausbildung in der Malerei. Nach zahlreichen Studienaufenthalten in ganz Europa und in der Karibik seit 1993 freischaffender Maler in der Eifel.

"Sein Werdegang führte Tom Krey vom Impressionismus zum Pointillismus über den Neoimpressionismus zu seiner Spachteltechnik, dem von ihm sobenannten "Sektorismus" und mündete schließlich als logische Folge in der abstrakten Malerei.
Tom Krey lässt sich von der Natur inspirieren und gibt sich bei seiner Arbeit ganz seinen Gefühlen und Emotionen hin. Aus der Summe seiner Maltechniken entstehen Gemälde von individueller Interpretation der Landschaft und ergeben sich neue Harmonien parallel zur Natur."

Studium der Nachrichtentechniken und der Betriebswirtschaft zum Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur. Nach 25 Jahren Tätigkeit als selbständige Unternehmensberaterin Beginn der künstlerischen Tätigkeit als Stahlbildhauerin.

1966 geboren.

Studium der Malerei und Grafik an der Belgrader Kunstakademie mit Abschluss 1993. Seit 1999 "Associate Professor " an dieser Akademie.

"During my life I travelled all around western Europe, but visiting Holland affected my work strongly. It was a multiple influence. The past saved in museums, paintings of Vermeer, Rembrandt with his etchings, Van Gogh, landscapes of Van Ostade and still-life motives of W. Claesz and Heda, in combination with unusual light, assured me that searching the world of reality is one of most important tasks and devotions... I believe in mastership and excellence. Idea and mastership are of equal importance for me".
